Discussion

While perfoming the NMR, there were some magnetic disturbances, since there were distortions in the peaks.

Conclusion

In the NMR test, the peaks were a little broad near the baseline. Hence, they were reprocessed in order to determine the solubility.

12:45 Labeled seven half-dram vial from 1-7.
12:50 Placed a small amount of 4-chlorophenylacetic acid in each vial.
13:00 Pipetted out 200uL of seven solvents in the vials listed below. After adding the solvent to the vials, each was vortexed for about 30s.

13:10 Placed the vials in a 100mL beaker containing a small amount of water, this beaker was left in the sonicator.
13:20 Temperature of the water in the sonicator was recorded as 30 C.
13:30 The vials were observed for crystals.
16:05 Two of the vials with Methanol and acetronitrile had to be repeated for better results.
