20:00 Tried to make a 4M solution of 3,4-methylenedioxyphenylacetic acid in THF by dissolving 720.6mg (4mmol) in 487.5uL of THF (512.5uL acid + 487.5 THF =1000uL)..in a 5mL vial..The resultant solution was vortexed for about 2min. The solid did not dissolve..
20:20 Therefore tried to dilute the solution by adding more THF (333.3uL) such that the final conc could be 3.0M...vortexed the solution again for 2min..unable to achieve complete dissolution of the solid.
20:40 Further diluted the solution by adding THF (121.3uL) such that the final conc could be 2.75M..vortexed the solution again for 2min...still unable to dissolve the solid completely.
21:00 Added more THF (145.4uL) to the solution, inorder to get the final concentraion to be 2.5M..vortexed the solution for 2min...it appeared like the solid dissolved competely in the solvent..therefore parafilmed the vial tightly and left it overnight. This solution is labled ONSCExp131-1A-acidinTHF

Threfore a SAMS analysis was done on the solution by dissolving 100uL of the supernatant from ONSCExp131-1A-acidinTHF in 700uL CDCl3 in a clean and dry NMR tube. Obtained a picture of the saturated solution of 3,4-methylenedioxyphenylacetic acid in THF.
