Objective

To qualify near-melting point behavior with regards to solubility, specifically in the case of tert-butanol (m.p. 25C) in n-hexane from 40C to -8.5C. The additivity of volumes is an assumption and the densities of the solvent and solute are obtained from the ChemSpider prediction.

11:30 - Began to make 0.5M solution. Noticed it went into solution very easily.
11:35 - Made 5M and 7.5M solutions (Tube A and B, respectively). Put aside until samples A-E from experiment 189 finished heating in the bath.
13:00 - Put samples in bath at 50C.
